Here are just a few of some of the fantastic comments we’ve had:

  • As Featured on Rock My Wedding “If you shop in Liverpool, chances are you’ve walked past a gorgeous couple called Helly and Andy. Wandering through town one day, Lee saw them, heard them, and had a light bulb moment, it’s one of the best wedding decisions we’ve made. We both sometimes felt at other weddings, that the time when the Bride & Groom go off for their photos could have used a little livening up! So, as we went outside with our photographer, the Rag Tag Misfits turned up and started playing. It was a lovely surprise for our guests and created a fantastic fun atmosphere. With a load of wooden percussion instruments to fill Andy’s guitar case, so guests could grab a tambourine, a bongo or a set of maracas to play and sing along.Lee and I returned to the party to find the dancing had already started and Helly & Andy were bringing the house down. They came back a little later on and were playing as we arrived at the evening venue. We walked in and the room was filled with their version of Ho Hey, it was one of those special moments in time that I’ll never forget.  Having the Rag Tag Misfits at our wedding helped to create the beautiful, laid back feeling we so wanted to create for our wedding. Our friends and family loved them and their music was the perfect soundtrack to the best day of our lives” Lee & Karen Williams (Rock my Wedding Real Bride – Athenaeum & Parr Street Studios, Liverpool)

  • “Our pleasure to have you there. The evening was excellent and we all enjoyed your music – thank you.”  Alan Markham (President) – Artists Club, Liverpool – Ladies Evening

  • “We were truly blown away by how fantastic you were in helping to make our day perfect. We knew from the first instant we saw you that time in Southport about a year before the wedding that you were just what we were looking for.  Laid back but funky and fun! Perfect! The comments from our guests gave us such a buzz as well knowing that they thought the same as us. So many people, young and old made a point of telling us that they thought you were something special, especially sharing your instruments and getting them to join in. You were a big part of our special day. Thank you again and we can’t wait to see you again” Lisa & Andy Burke (Wedding – Hurlston Hall)

  •  “We booked The Ragtag Misfits to entertain guests at our daughter’s Christening party during the summer. We were looking for something different to the usual “disco dj” and also needed to keep both adults and children happy. This eclectic duo brought an almost “festival vibe” to the party and were truly amazing, playing recognisable tunes in their own (I guess you could call it “bohemian”) Rag Tag style.  What’s more, they provided a guitar case full of percussion instruments so the little ones could join in, such a wonderful touch. It got too hot on the day so the party and the Rag Tag Misfits moved outdoors for the last hour, something a DJ wouldn’t have been able to do so easily with all the setting up needed. Helly and Andy are professional, reliable and friendly as well as fabulous entertainers. Thank you so much – everyone loved you”  Beki & Chris Marlow – Director at Liverpool One (Christening Party)

  • “The Rag Tag Misfits have been enthralling the crowds at Manor Farm Music Festival since it’s birth.  Expect an all inclusive gathering of foot tapping, home spun frock songs with heart warming lyrics on life as it is. Echoes of social justice and solidarity unite familiar ‘sing along’ covers  with the Rag Tags signature bongo/ harmonica grooves to create a ‘feel good’  easy going festival vibe that has brought these guys back year after year”  Suzanne Dickinson – Storm 5 Management/Manor Farm Music Festival

  • “After a great recommendation from one of our members at Fiddlers Ferry Sailing Club, who had seen you previously we engaged you to perform at our End of Season Event at the Sailing Club.  It was extremely good, very professional and a joy to listen to.  I had no end of comments from members that you need to come back for another session.”  Sue Botter  (Fiddlers Ferry Sailing Club, Penketh)

  • Thanks for what you did on the 5th May and your lovely email. Nobody has anything other than positive to say about you two. Who can blame them?”  Peter & Beverley Davison (Wedding – Hope Street Boutique Hotel, Liverpool)

  • “We owe you a big thank you. You made the evening extra special and I believe a good time was had by all. Hope to see you again” Phil & Debbie Duxbury (House Party, 40th Birthday – Mellor)

  • “After seeing Helly and Andy AKA the Ragtag Misfits playing in Liverpool  I just knew they would be a perfect accompaniment for our wedding in Wales. They were not a disappointment! We had a relaxed feel to our wedding and they helped set the tone perfectly playing a huge array of music that appealed to all age ranges, including bringing percussion instruments that allowed people to get involved. We opted for the Acoustic Pop Up theme and it was perfect as they popped up and played around the venue to wherever we needed them. We can only be really grateful to them both for making our day truly memorable” Ruth & Tony Gill (Wedding – Hendre Hall)

  • “The band Rag Tag Misfits performed at my daughter’s wedding. They proved to be an inspirational choice. Being only two people with minimal equipment they could perform anywhere. They popped up on four different occasions one outside the others inside. Not only did they play lively and catchy tuneful music which children and adults could dance or enjoy listening to, they provided various musical implements for general use. They were very accommodating to our requirements and provided a very happy atmosphere to the evening’s entertainment. I would have no hesitation in recommending them for any function”  Lawrence Fletcher (Father of The Bride- Bangor)
